I've been dying to write this one!!!
LEVELS! Not everyone is able to live off of vitamins, protein shakes, with lettuce in between. Ugh!
But what I want you to try is: a little less salt, sugar and swap out foods. I'm know this is old news but let's take a fresh look at it.
Take for example Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. Most people love them or the McDonald's mcmuffin.
Breakfast makeover time!!!
Start with the muffin. Do a sprouted english muffin. Now the cheese, instead of American singles do sharp cheddar. If you don't like sharp cheddar do Colby Jack and work you way up. Now the eggs. Try to do egg whites. If you need the yolk then invest in better eggs. The best you can afford. Now the meat! I would like you to get the Jimmy Dean breakfast patties. GASP!!! I know right!?
Here's the method to the madness:
Jimmy Dean is a flavor anchor. For most people, you can't jump from junk to juicing overnight. So to ease into the wonderful world of healthy, I created the idea of flavor anchors. So changing all the ingredients to healthy except the sausage, will hopefully keep you sticking with this healthier option until your pallet is trained to love this new food because the sausage is the flavor you probably most love and will keep you happy.
Once you are used to the healthier first step, step it up again. Colby cheese the sharp cheddar, or sharp cheddar to swiss. Add an heirloom tomato or fresh basil. Substitute Jimmy Dean sausage for a more natural chicken sausage or ham ect. Small adjustments like this is critical to stay on track and still love life.
Before you know it, you will rather be eating your own food instead of the salt ridden, msg filled mess they call food on the menu. True story! Ask my hubby!
