Who doesn't love granola?! I mean really!

However, it's quite expensive for what you get which is mainly rolled oats and a few pieces of pecan and dried fruit. It's time to revolt against the makers of crunchy goodness! This recipe cost about the same as the boxed stuff but you get waaaaay more of it and there are no cheap fillers. You can choose whatever is on sale at the store! This is just a guideline for measurements and flavor pairings. 

The splurge ingredient is the neem honey. If you have honey at home, don't feel the need to buy it just for this recipe. I found this honey on a BOGO free sale and fell in love with it. It has a completely different flavor than anything I've ever tasted.Neem is known to help the body with diabetes and chronic fatigue. Give it a try sometime!

The Goods:

  • 1 cup chopped almonds (use a chopper)
  • 2 tbs chia
  • 2 tbs shelled hemp
  • 2 tbs sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup flax seeds
  • 1/2 sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup coconut threads
  • 2/3 cup dried cherries
  • 2/3 cup dried blue berries
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 2/3 cup heavenly organics neem honey
  • 1 1/2 tps salt


  • Preheat oven 300 degrees
  • Melt coconut oil in a large bowl
  • Add honey and salt
  • In a separate bowl mix nuts and fruit 
  • Add the fruit and nut mix to the wet ingredient bowl
  • Bake for 45 min or so occasionally stirring
  • Enjoy with flax milk or in a smoothie bowl
